SCRIPTURE: 2 Corinthians 3:7-11

Read: 2 Corinthians Ch.003: 007 - 011

In Exodus 34, Moses placed a veil over his face so that the Israelites might not see the end of the fading splendor. In the beginning, his face was shining like the sun and the people actually ran away from him. When the glory began to depart from his face, he used the veil perhaps to keep the people in awe. He didn’t want them to see the final condition that trying to obey God with all your might will bring you to. What is that condition? Paul described it for us in Chap. 3. He calls it the “dispensation of death” (verse 7); the dispensation of condemnation (verse 9) and in verse 11, “that which fades away.”

MOST OF US DON’T WANT OTHERS TO SEE WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON INSIDE OF US. WE WANT THEM TO BELIEVE US TO BE SPIRITUAL GIANTS WHEN WE REALLY ARE NOT.
