Of all the impressive portrayals of Christ in the Gospels, the one that stands supreme and looms largest is the Christ of the cross.
John the Baptist introduced
Jesus as the "Lamb that taketh away the sins of the world".
Of all the gripping events
in the life of Christ, none can compare in importance with the events of that last week culminating in His crucifixion and resurrection.
Of all the crucifixions that have stirred the souls of men, none is comparable to the crucifixion of Christ.
