Our Father knows it is best for us to act in faith. All of God’s children are overcomers. If you will apply these principles, they will literally change your life and set you free. That is God’s desire for each of us. In verses 4 and 5 we see the word “overcome” or “overcomes” three times. It is found twice in verse 4, once in the past tense and once in the present tense. As believers “born of God” we are right now overcoming the world because we have already overcome it. The word “overcome” means to “conquer, prevail or gain victory.” Why does this world need to be overcome? Because the world system is controlled by satan as it states in verse 19. That system and satan want to overcome you, to keep you from knowing God’s presence and experiencing His power and purpose.!
THEY WANT TO DESTROY YOUR SPIRITUAL LIFE!
