SCRIPTURE: 1 John 5:20-21

Read: 1 John Ch.005: 020 - 021

The Queen Mary was the largest ship to cross the oceans when it was launched in 1936. After four decades, it was anchored as a floating hotel and museum in Long Beach, California. When it was being converted, the three massive smokestacks were removed to be scraped down and repainted, but they crumbled when they were placed on the dock. To look at them, they seemed OK, but the reality of their condition was far different. The strength of their surface sufficiency had survived the storms, but they failed under inspection. Many Christians have much in common with this great ship. They look alright on the outside and may have looked good for a long time. But the weight of years and the trauma of life’s storms weaken them to the point they will collapse in a cloud of rusty dust. Will you pass inspection?

ARE YOU GENUINE THROUGH AND THROUGH OR ARE YOU A SURFACE CHRISTIAN?
