START AT THE BEGINNING

Throughout the book of Proverbs, Solomon talks about the "wise" man and the fool. The key verse to Proverbs for us to learn knowledge and discretion, to move us from the basics to the advanced level is Chapter 1 v 4.
When Solomon writes about the "fool", he does not mean what we think of today. When the King James Version was written, a fool was someone incapable of learning or being trained for anything. We think of a fool as someone who is tricky, deceitful, or deliberately childish.
If you want to progress towards wisdom, the first step is found in verse 7.
THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE BEGINNING!
