APPLE OF THE EYE
Read: Psalms Ch.017: 008
"Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings."
In this verse, David was asking for God's protection.
Our eyes are precious to our well-being. God has given our eyes wonderful protection. The pupil is protected from the light by the iris, and the eyes are sunken in our heads and even more protected by eyebrows and eye lashes.
Furthermore, David was asking for the shadow of God's wings.
WE NEED THAT PROTECTION,TOO, AND WE HAVE IT IF WE WILL ONLY TRUST AND OBEY
