From the text we find an interesting fact. The figs represent the first fruits of the Spirit in the believer's new life in Christ. As the figs are kept safe in winter, so His precious Bride is secure by the Lord during trials as the Lord sustains us through the Word of God and the Cross.
Paul said in Colossians 3:3 ... "our life is hid with Christ in God."
We are hidden and protected by the blood of Jesus in the cleft of the rock.
As believers, we can experience tremendous joy in the position of being seated in heavenly places in Christ.
"ON CHRIST THE SOLID ROCK I STAND"
